History

The story of Zeppelin began in 1930 at the Maybach-Motorenbau GmbH factor in Friedrichshafen, Germany, where some of the finest cars of Maybach were introduced by Karl, son of famous engineer Wilhelm.

It had an 8.0-L V12 engine (200hp) under the hood and it was purchased hugely for the transportation of hotel guests from and to the local bus or train station. It was retired for a long duration until 1959. No one else found this car until it was purchased by a Swiss industrialist in 1960, maintaining the low gas mileage for nearly forty years ensuring its preservation.

The restoration of Zeppelin started in 1999 and it began shortly thereafter. The body and chassis were found to be in such excellent condition and the engine was simply cleaned and painted. The Maybach brand was re-launched in 2001, representing the core value of the vehicle, engineering excellence.

The Zeppelin of today is available as a whole package for both the 62 and 57 lines, adds a host of upgrades and options to a pair of vehicles.

The sporty Zeppelin 57 completes the 0 to 100 km/h sprint in just 4.9 seconds and has a limited top speed of 275 km/h. The 62 Zeppelin can accelerate to 100 km/h from standstill in 5.1 seconds and attains a top speed of 250 km/h.
